Presentation of Maund Whiskey "Founders Reserve 2012" - The Wild Alps
Distilled in 2012 from lightly smoked barley . The very extraordinary range of aromas of this "small batch" production develops thanks to extraordinary storage: part of the distillate in sherry casks and part in bourbon casks .
In October 2017, the 2 parts were married again and filled in the special 70cl bottles with glass stoppers. Of this special production, only 390 70cl bottles are available as “Founders Reserve”!
HISTORY OF THE DISTILLERY
The Wild Alps is a distillery located in the heart of the Swiss Alps in a unique wilderness region. After more than 20 years specializing in the art of distillation, this small artisanal distillery has also launched into the art of aging and “finishing” by also offering a very confidential Whiskey and a Jamaican Rum (or Rum). The Wild Alps also offers a very pure Vodka and a very aromatic Gin made with wild herbs picked in the Swiss Alps. This Swiss quality and rigor has earned them numerous awards!
