Presentation Le Fleury – White Grape Varieties 2009 – Champagne Extra Brut

Maison Fleury has created a magnificent 2009 vintage Champagne entitled Cépages Blancs 2009 in the plural (because it is a Chardonnay / Pinot Blanc blend)! A deep and very pure Biodynamic Blanc de Blanc Champagne . A beautiful color with golden reflections and a fine, regular bubble. The nose develops notes of citrus (lemon, pomelo, peel, etc.), mineral (chalk, flint) with a touch of dried fruit, notably almond. The mouth of this 2009 Cépages Blancs cuvée from Maison Fleury is rich and creamy with a tension which lengthens its finish and accentuates its minerality. The long finish reveals saline and mineral notes. Lots of purity in this intense and chiselled Champagne !

History of the estate

Maison Fleury is a family Champagne house located in Courteron, in the heart of the Côte des Bar . The estate was created in 1895, by Emile Fleury winemaker and nurseryman, who was the first to graft Pinot Noir plants following the Phylloxera crisis. Maison Fleury is also known as the pioneers of Biodynamics in Champagne by adopting this cultivation method in 1989 (the estate was already organic in 1970)! Since then, Fleury has continued to improve its various vintages, which has earned it a star in the Larvf Green Guide and being recognized as one of the best Champagne houses . Discover this visionary and atypical estate in the very well-marked world of Champagne.
