Presentation of Domaine Tourbillon Gigondas - Vieilles Vignes

Dark purple ruby color. The nose shows cooked, jammy red fruits, cherry, chocolate and a touch of vanilla. The mouth transcribes the aromas present on the nose with additional notes of sweet spices. On the palate, this Gigondas is very delicious, both round and warm. Its generosity, its melted tannins and its beautiful length on the palate make Gigondas Vieilles Vignes from Domaine Tourbillon a very balanced southern wine!

History of the estate

Domaine Tourbillon is a family estate dating from the mid-20th century in Gigondas. This exceptional terroir, located under the Dentelles de Montmirail, allows us to produce wines with strong character. Since Benjamin Tourbillon took over the reins of the estate, the quality of the wines has continued to improve. He knew how to bring his personality and modernity to his vintages while respecting tradition. Domaine Tourbillon extends over three exceptional terroirs which allows them to produce sublime vintages in the Côtes Du Rhône, Gigondas and Châteauneuf du Pape appellations. Concerned about respecting the integrity of their raw material, the grapes are harvested by hand at optimal maturity then carefully sorted in the cellar.
