Presentation of Domaine Philippe Chéron Vosne Romanée “Les Barreaux” 2019 – Red

Philippe Chéron has created a superb Vosne Romanée with a premier cru feel! The color is a dazzling ruby. The nose of red fruits, raspberry, redcurrant, strawberry with a discreet little woody touch suggests a very delicious wine. In the mouth, we find the crunchy and juicy fruits present on the nose in a fresh and very digestible material! The finish of this Vosne Romanée is long on a floral register (on violet) with a very elegant texture on the palate. Thanks to Philippe Chéron for this very pretty wine!

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

At the end of the 1930s Paul Misset, grandfather of Philippe Chéron , acquired plots of vines on the Cote de Nuits . Not being a winemaker, he entrusted the management to farmers. Two generations later, Paul Misset's grandchildren built around these historic plots a wine estate today covering 5 hectares and spread over the Nuits Saint Georges , Vosne Romanée , Chambolle Musigny appellations with plots in 1er Cru and Clos of Vougeot Grand Cru . Since 2011, Phillipe Chéron has worked its vines (70% of which are old vines) from its prestigious climates as naturally as possible, without insecticides or weedkillers and maintaining low yields. An engaging and talented winemaker to stock up on great Burgundy red wine.
