Presentation Ferroni, Whiskey Roof Rye

100% French rye whiskey , double matured (Brittany, Provence) . Composed of a minimum of 51% rye (80% for the current batch), this whiskey is distilled by the Warenghem Distillery (in Lannion, 22). It is then aged for several years (6 years for the current batch) in sherry barrels in the warehouses of the Warenghem Distillery, in the temperate and humid climate of Brittany (close to the Scottish climate). It then undergoes aging in new American oak barrels and burned in Provence in the cellars of Guillaume Ferroni. Rye undergoes in Provence the maturation method of American Bourbon distilleries, that is to say in a dry climate with a significant thermal amplitude and in sheet metal cellars in order to further accelerate the temperatures. On the nose we have aromas of vanilla, caramel, dry herbs or cut hay. On the palate this whiskey is soft and round with a frank and persistent finish.

HISTORY OF THE DISTILLERY

Installed at Château des Creissauds, the Ferroni Distillery has gradually transformed into a site for the development and production of high-end French spirits combining history, cultural heritage and natural riches.

On the estate, fresh plants are grown or harvested in the wild to produce the House's high-end pastis. Rum, whisky, gin and liqueurs enjoy happy days alongside forgotten, reissued alcohols, such as Ratafia de Marseille, which has become a must-have for the end-of-year celebrations.

Guillaume Ferroni is a creator, passionate about history which he uses to develop his new creations. He has managed to modernize old recipes, a real pleasure for the taste buds.
