Presentation Champagne Leclerc Briant - Brut Reserve

The Brut Réserve cuvée from Leclerc Briant energetically embodies the notion of blending through its remarkable aromatic and tactile nuances. This biodynamic organic Champagne has a luminous and fluid appearance, pale yellow gold in color with light and deep straw yellow reflections in the glass. In the mouth we find suppleness and freshness. The Champagne develops a pulpy and crunchy fruity substance, highlighted by a very tight lemony acidity. The first nose evokes the world of pastry and that of oriental spices, a real moment of escape conveyed by notes of almond paste, praline and spices. It will fulfill an aperitif and festive vocation, while revealing its depth on fusion food style dishes based on pork, lamb or Comté cheese. Rated by LRVF 2022: 92/100

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

Created in Cumières in 1872 by Lucien Leclerc , the Domaine moved to Epernay in 1955 in its current premises on Chemin de la Chaude Ruelle. It was at this same period that, under the action of Bertrand Leclerc, great-grandson of the founder, and his wife Jacqueline Briant, the Domaine became a Trading House, and took the name of Leclerc Briant. In 1980, Pascal Leclerc succeeded his parents and continued their work. In 2012, the purchase of Leclerc Briant by Mark Nunnelly and Denise Dupré saved the Maison from oblivion. This American couple is passionate about the French art of living and falls in love with this non-conformist House. They joined Frédéric Zeimett, a native of Champagne, who since then has led the House to the forefront of Champagne codes, serving the expression of a unique style that is now internationally recognized. Maison Leclerc Briant was one of the pioneers of biodynamics in Champagne. From the end of the 1950s, Bertrand Leclerc was the first to bring the emotion of the organic spirit to his Domaine. The first certifications will be undertaken by his son Pascal, fifth generation. Because a deep respect for nature and the terroirs has always prevailed at Leclerc Briant, the entire Maison vineyard is certified organic and biodynamic.
