Presentation of Domaine Des Gandines – Mâcon-Péronne

This Mâcon-Péronne from Domaine Des Gandines comes from very old 90-year-old vines, planted on stony soils. Organic cultivation has been practiced there since 2005 and biodynamic preparations used since 2012. The harvest is manual, the wine is made 50% in oak barrels and 50% in stainless steel vats. The fermentation is natural, and it contains a low quantity of sulphites ﴾60 mg/l﴿, the wine is aged on lees for 8 months. It is a great, very elegant Mâcon wine, with very good substance and nice acidity.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

In the heart of the Mâconnais, in the south of Burgundy, the Gandines vineyard is a family estate operated by the Dananchet family for four generations. The wines have been AB certified since 2009 and Demeter certified from the 2019 vintage.
