In the heart of the Corbières, nestled on the foothills of the Montagne d'Alaric, theLa Baronne Castleis a family estate that embodies the soul of Languedoc. For over a century, the Lignères family,passionate doctors and winegrowers, watches over this exceptional vineyard located in a preserved natural ecosystem. On these lands shaped by the four great geological eras, the vines flourish between 100 and 200 meters above sea level, on soils rich in clay, limestone and sandstone. Centenary Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, but also Vermentino, Roussanne or even Grenache blanc and gris: the emblematic grape varieties of the south express themselves with authenticity. From Louis Lignères, who founded the house in 1890, to Jean and Anne, who perpetuate its spirit today, five generations have succeeded one another with the same desire: to reveal the beauty of the Alaric terroirs through sincere, lively and committed vintages.
