Presentation of Cesari - Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Il Bosco - 2017

The Amarone from the “Il Bosco” vineyard is vinified only when the grapes are perfectly healthy and in years of high quality. The single vineyard is a small territory whose vines are more than 20 years old, so naturally a first selection takes place, from quantity to the benefit of quality. The grapes are selected during the harvest and only the best will be placed in the “fruit stalls” to be dried and then pressed in January. the wine is aged for 2 years in barrels and large Slavonian barrels. Once bottled, the wine is then definitively refined for at least another 8 months. The long aging gives the wine softness and roundness, as well as delicate spicy notes which accompany the more typical aromas of ripe red fruits.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

Founded in 1936, Gerardo Cesari quickly became synonymous with Veronese wines around the world. Already at the beginning of the 70s, in fact, Cesari Amarone was among the first to arrive on five continents thanks to the passion and spirit of initiative of the Cesari family, whose original vision was to want to produce a great Amarone that can compete with the best Italian and international red wines. Thus Cesari wines begin the story of success in the world.
