Presentation of NW Le Rolle - Château La Baronne

With its NW Le Rolle cuvée, Château La Baronne reveals a pure and vibrant expression of Vermentino , the Mediterranean grape variety par excellence. Produced using natural vinification in amphorae and ceramic jars , this white wine from Languedoc seduces with its mineral purity and aromatic intensity. On the nose, NW Le Rolle reveals a beautiful aromatic tension , marked by notes of fresh citrus and wet stone , a typical signature of great white wines from living terroirs. On the palate, the attack is sharp and precise , carried by an assertive minerality , great freshness, and a saline and energetic finish with a beautiful persistence. This organic white wine, natural and without artifice , embodies the spirit of research and precision of Château La Baronne. It will ideally accompany oysters, raw fish or delicately spiced vegetable dishes. NW Le Rolle is a Vermentino in an amphora with a taut, straight and luminous style, for lovers of frank and distinguished white wines.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

In the heart of the Corbières, nestled in the foothills of the Montagne d'Alaric, Château La Baronne is a family estate that embodies the soul of Languedoc. For over a century, the Lignères family, passionate doctors and winemakers , have watched over this exceptional vineyard located in a preserved natural ecosystem. On these lands shaped by the four great geological eras, the vines flourish between 100 and 200 meters above sea level, on soils rich in clay, limestone and sandstone. Centenary Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, but also Vermentino, Roussanne or even Grenache blanc and gris: the emblematic grape varieties of the south express themselves here with authenticity. From Louis Lignères, who founded the house in 1890, to Jean and Anne, who perpetuate its spirit today, five generations have succeeded one another with the same desire: to reveal the beauty of the Alaric terroirs through sincere, lively and committed vintages.
