Presentation of Les Chemins - Red - Château La Baronne

Les Chemins Rouge from Château La Baronne is a cuvée that perfectly embodies the identity of a Corbières red wine with a style that is both accessible and expressive. Made from a typical Languedoc blend – Carignan, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre – this organic and biodynamic wine reflects the richness of the Montagne d'Alaric terroir. On the nose, Les Chemins Rouge reveals a beautiful aromatic complexity , blending ripe red and black fruits with a subtle bouquet of garrigue , evocative of the Mediterranean landscape that surrounds it. On the palate, the texture is round, fluid , marked by a vibrant energy and a refined depth , without ever losing its gourmandise.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

In the heart of the Corbières, nestled in the foothills of the Montagne d'Alaric, Château La Baronne is a family estate that embodies the soul of Languedoc. For over a century, the Lignères family, passionate doctors and winemakers , have watched over this exceptional vineyard located in a preserved natural ecosystem. On these lands shaped by the four great geological eras, the vines flourish between 100 and 200 meters above sea level, on soils rich in clay, limestone and sandstone. Centenary Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, but also Vermentino, Roussanne or even Grenache blanc and gris: the emblematic grape varieties of the south express themselves here with authenticity. From Louis Lignères, who founded the house in 1890, to Jean and Anne, who perpetuate its spirit today, five generations have succeeded one another with the same desire: to reveal the beauty of the Alaric terroirs through sincere, lively and committed vintages.

Dishes in sauce or simmered, grilled meats, Mediterranean flavors, vegetable/lamb curry, Cantal entre-deux, cow's cheese.
