Presentation Mas des Agrunelles – Carmine – Vin de France Rouge
Le Mas des Agrunelles offers us here a low-sulphity Biodynamic red wine which bears its name aptly, Carmine, from the color of the soil on which it was born (Bauxite)! Deep garnet color. On the nose, this Carmine reveals aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry), spices, scrubland, with notes of leather. The palate is fleshy and very fruity with a lot of roundness provided by melted tannins. With its very low dosage of sulphites and its easy-drinking texture, this Carmin cuvée from Mas des Agrunelles goes down at high speed!
History of the brand
It is in a particularly cool area of Languedoc , in Argelliers and Murles, that Frederic Porro and Stéphanie Ponson chose to settle down to create the Mas des Agrunelles. Sharing the same passion for wine and the same vision of viticulture, Frederic and Stéphanie produce red and white wines in a free spirit, most of the time outside the appellations. Le Mas des Agrunelles has cultivated its 25 hectares of vines in Organic Agriculture (AB certified) since 2003 and Biodynamic since 2010 (ECOCERT certified), all accompanied by minimal interventionist vinification and very small doses of sulphites (well below the thresholds authorized in Biodynamics). Result: deep, light and balanced wines that lack neither originality nor charm!
