Presentation of La Bastide de Songes Cantemerle - Vin de Pays de l’Hérault Rouge

The Cantemerle from La Bastide des Songes is a red wine from Languedoc of Bordeaux inspiration (Médoc) with its Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot blend aged in barrels, offered in an old vintage: 2003 ! The dark red color testifies to its evolution with its tiled reflections. The nose is marked by ripe black fruits, stone fruits, plum and noble notes of cigar box. The palate takes up all the complexity of the aromas present on the nose with a sensation of sweetness brought by tannins polished by time. Blind, this Cantemerle 2003 looks like an old Saint Estephe weathered by time! You finally have the opportunity to taste a great, mature red wine without having to break the bank!

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

La Bastide des Songes is a property which extends over a total area of 35 hectares located in the heart of the Hérault vineyards. While this family estate had already belonged to the Torquebiau wine-growing family for years, it was in 2003 that the estate was born with the inauguration of their wine cellar. Ambitious winegrowers who wish to free themselves from the constraints of AOCs, they have completely turned their vineyard upside down by replanting qualitative and atypical grape varieties for the region such as Cabernet Sauvignon , Syrah , Pinot Noir , Chardonnay or Gewurztraminer ! For lovers of atypical and daring wines , La Bastide des Songes is made for you!
