Presentation of Domaine Michel Briday - Rully 1er Cru Les Cloux - White
The Rully 1er Cru Les Cloux from Domaine Michel Briday is a premier cru which shows a lot of friendliness from its youth. Located to the north of the village, it is ideally exposed to the east, receiving the first rays of the sun. The estate's plot is located on very deep soil at the bottom of the hillsides. This is a sector where maturity is reached quite early. It also has the particularity of being very consistent from one vintage to the next. It has a supple and ample texture. The aromatic develops notes of white fruits: peach, pear. It is ready to be enjoyed within 3 to 5 years following harvest.
HISTORY OF THE ESTATE
The estate was created in 1970 by Michel Briday from 6 hectares of leased and sharecropped vines. Since 2000, his son Stephane Briday has taken over and cultivates his vines with the same passion, which today represents 15 hectares in the Rully , Rully 1 er Cru and Bouzeron appellations. Very dynamic, Stéphane Briday gave new impetus to both the estate's wines and the promotion of the Rully appellation. The winemaker's guideline is clear, to highlight the soils and terroirs rather than the varietal expression of the grape varieties and not to overly mark the wines by the wood. Domaine Michel Briday produces balanced and complex vintages with exemplary regularity.
