Presentation of Domaine Cosse Maisonneuve- Le Combal- Cahors 2016
The Le Combal vintage from Domaine Cosse Maisonneuve is an organic Cahors at a low price, complex but full of finesse and elegance. Her dress is black with shades of purple. The nose reveals a powerful but fine wine with aromas of black fruits such as cherry, and floral notes with peony and violet. On the palate we discover real depth with a velvety attack, aromas of crushed red fruits, spicy notes of pepper and liquorice and a beautiful tannic structure which will develop a patina over time. The Le Combal vintage is a Cahors with great aging potential, an inexpensive wine to absolutely discover!
History of the estate
Domaine Cosse Maisonneuve was created in 1999 by Matthieu and Catherine who wanted to produce great Cahors wines. A successful bet for these two enthusiasts who have 2 stars in the Green Guide, in particular for their vintage Le Combal , an inexpensive Cahors, complex but full of finesse and elegance. The 22 hectares of the Cosse Maisonneuve estate are cultivated biodynamically, in order to allow the terroir to fully express itself. Very little intervention on these vintages, with fine and elegant wines with high aging potential. An area with a very interesting quality/price/pleasure ratio, to discover quickly!
