Presentation of Gevrey-Chambertin 2022 Red - Domaine Georges Lignier et Fils

The Gevrey-Chambertin 2022 Rouge from Domaine Georges Lignier et Fils embodies the excellence of Burgundy wines. With its deep red color and assertive character, this wine is a true invitation to pleasure the senses. Its complex bouquet seduces from the very first moments: in its youth, fruity aromas, rich and generous, dominate, bringing freshness and liveliness. This wine also reveals a powerful structure thanks to its richness in tannins , which soften over time to offer a beautiful suppleness and a velvety texture. As it ages, the Gevrey-Chambertin develops more animal and deep aromas, which enrich its aromatic palette and testify to its great aging potential. Its great breadth in the mouth and its balance make it a perfect choice to accompany dishes with character such as roast beef, veal chop or mature cheeses.

HISTORY OF THE DOMAIN

Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, the Georges Lignier et Fils estate operates 17 appellations on 16 hectares, spread over 50 plots, planted mainly with Pinot Noir grapes. The cultivation of the vines is intended to be as respectful as possible of the plant and its terroir. All the vines are planted on clay-limestone soil. The average age of the vines is over 50 years.

FOOD AND WINE PAIRING

Gevrey-Chambertin will be an excellent accompaniment to roast meats and mature cheeses.
