Presentation of Domaine de Gléon - La Clef

Discover the La Clef vintage from Domaine de Gléon, an organic red wine ideal to accompany your barbecues. Its red dress is purple and luminous. On the nose we discover scents of candied fruits. On the palate it is a wine which opens with the expression of garrigue. To discover.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE

The Domaine de Gléon is a place steeped in history and heritage. Occupied since the Gallo-Roman era, it was first a wine estate called Villa Ad Clivum, then a castle which served as a rampart for the entrance to the Hautes Corbières for a thousand years. In 1861, it was acquired by a large farming family and was passed down from father to son for six generations. Located at the gates of Hautes Corbières, in the Paradise Valley, the estate is one of the key elements of the Durban region. Its current owner, Philippe Montanié, cultivates his vines there with great attention to Organic Agriculture, in an exceptional natural setting. The vineyards extend over terraces and hillsides with clay-limestone and schist soils, in a Mediterranean climate. Philippe Montanié produces organic wines from the fruits of his terroir. These are expressive, silky, delicious and rich in flavors. They constitute an excellent introduction to Corbières and the richness of this surprising terroir.
