History of the estate

Château Haut Lagrange is located in Léognan in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Vines already grew on these lands in the 18th century. Created in 1989 by Francis Boutemy, the family property has a grape variety typical of the appellation with Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot for the red and Sauvignon and Sémillon for the white wines. His passion for vines was passed on to him by his grandparents, who already owned a classified growth in Léognan. Francis' son, Ghislain Boutemy took over the estate and is constantly improving the wines in the pure tradition of the region. Château Haut-Lagrange offers us mastered vintages, with a taste so typical of the terroir and with great aging potential. Château Haut-Lagrange is certified by the Terra Vitis and HVE labels attesting to an eco-responsible approach.
